Family
Involvement- The dove release is more
personal if members of
the family participate. Typically, the doves are released by
the spouse, children, or grandchildren of the deceased. Not
everyone is comfortable handling birds, so we provide individual
release baskets that they can open themselves.
Remote
Control- We can release doves via remote
control, allowing
them to rise from a statue, or other place of interest, without the
dove handler standing there. Most people have there eyes downcast
during a funeral, so the priest will have to direct their attention to
the release area. This idea is limited by the cemetery layout
and the plot location.

Music
or Song- A perfect time to let doves go is
during a song by the
Mariachi band or the piper. The sight of doves
overhead
coupled with the sound of traditional music can be a moving experience.
The doves give the family something to look at while the
music
is being played, and more importantly, it encourages them cast their
eyes up toward the heavens.
Reading
of Poetry or Biblical
Verse-
Doves are sometimes released during a reading of scripture or poetry,
or at the conclusion of a reading.
Custom
Releases-
The method of release is entirely up to you and
can be creative as you wish.
